Stage 3, Part 3: Facebook Advertising

So, by now you have heard of Facebook. In this post I will explain why you should advertise your product/website on Facebook.

Facebook has a huge number of ACTIVE users

Facebook perhaps the biggest active community out there on the internet, if not already the biggest community in the world.

It has a whopping 800 million in terms of active users out there in the world. This will then lead on to my second point.

It brings you targeted traffic

Now, Facebook has users from all over the world, with interests of almost every single type out there on Facebook. This will allow you to almost handpick the audience for your advertising, and trust me, that’s very powerful.

It gives you the option of choosing the age range that you want the audience of your ad to be – hence allowing you to find your targeted traffic for your website, which is really what you are trying to achieve. Furthermore, it allows you to target people who like a certain topic. For example, if you’re trying to advertise your e-book on How To Level Up in Mafia Wars quickly (sorry for the lack of creativity), you would be able to select your audience to be people who also like the application’s page. Hence ensuring that you make the most out of your advertising money. It is certainly a revolutionary advertising platform.


Another thing that I personally like about advertising on Facebook, is the ability to let them like your page, before working out what to do from there. It allows you to gather a number of fans (this is more effective, as your ad has the ‘Like’ button right below, hence your audience doesn’t have to leave his initial page), and then sell from there.

It’s really a win-win situation.

Proven Results at a Relatively Cheap Price

And lastly, the thing I love the most about Facebook ads. It brings you proven results. Facebook bases it’s advertising on your preference, whether you want it to be based on views on clicks to your advertisement.

It only makes for proven results for a cheap price. Facebook also allows you to control your budget, with you being able to set up campaigns for as cheap as US$ 10. A win-win situation for both parties! (but well, I reckon it’s a bigger win for the advertisers, given the results of Facebook ad campaigns).
